1.5 pounds Salmon
1/3 c brown sugar
1/3 c soy sauce
1/3 c water
1/4 c oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
~In small bowl combine salt, lemon pepper and garlic powder. Rub over salmon filet to taste
~In medium bowl, combine soy sauce, water, oil and stir in brown sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved
~In large resealable bag place salmon and pour in marinade
~Seal and refrigerate at least 2 hours turning every 30 minutes
~Preheat grill
~Grill until salmon is done (flakes easily with fork), basting with leftover marinade
**For some added heat try adding a dash of red pepper flakes to the marinade
2 lbs venison tenderloin, cut into 8 pieces
1/4 c olive oil
1/4 c flour
1 tbl paprika
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp granulated garlic
1 medium green pepper, cut into slices
2 medium onions, sliced
28oz tomatoes with juice
~Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat
~Combine flour, paprika, garlic, salt and pepper in shallow dish
~Dredge tenderloin pieces in flour, covering completely and add to hot oil
~Allow to cook for 10 – 15 minutes, turning once
~Remove meat from pan and drain most of the oil from the pan
~Stir remaining oil and “crispings” in skillet add half of the green pepper slices, half of the onion slices and half of the tomatoes to pan
~Place meat back in pan on top of vegetables and layer remaining vegetables on top of meat, bring to a low boil for 5-10 minutes, reduce heat, cover and allow to simmer until meat is tender (approximately 1 hour)
~Serve immediately
1 tsp cornstarch
1/4 c cold water
1/4 c plum sauce
1 tbl grated, fresh gingerroot
1 tbl soy sauce
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 lb flat iron steak, cut into 2″ strips
1 – 2 tbl vegetable oil
1 medium sweet red pepper, julienned
1 1/2 c fresh broccoli florets
2 medium carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
4 green onions, chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
Hot cooked rice
In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Stir in plum sauce, ginger, soy sauce and pepper flakes, set aside
In large skillet or wok, stir-fry beef in oil until no longer pink, remove and keep warm
In the same pan, stir-fry vegetables and garlic until tender. Return beef to the pan. Whisk the plum sauce mixture; stir into skillet. Cook and stir until slightly thickened.
Serve over hot rice
