Hidden Kiss Cookies
48 Hershey Kisses
1 cup butter, softened
1/3 c granulated sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups mini chocolate chips
1 tsp shortening
~Heat oven to 375
~Remove wrappers from kisses
~Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Add flour, 1 cup at a time and blend until smooth. Stir in 1 c mini chocolate chips
~Mold scant tablespoon dough around each chocolate kiss, covering completely
~Shape into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet
~Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack to cool completely.
~Put remaining chocolate chips and shortening in microwave safe bowl. ~Microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring between, until chocolate is melted. Stir until smooth.
~Drizzle melted chocolate over each cookie
