Choc-Oat-Chip Cookies

1 cup butter, soft
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbl milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups oatmeal (uncooked)
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (optional)
 
~Preheat oven to 375
~Beat butter and sugars until creamy
~Add eggs, milk and vanilla, beat well
~Add flour, baking soda and salt, mix well
~Stir in oats, chocolate chips and nuts, mix well
~Drop by tablespoon onto cookie sheet
~Bake for 9 – 10 minutes for chewy and 12 – 13 miuntes for crispy

Butter Balls

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
Chopped pecans to taste (optional)
Powdered sugar
 
~Preheat oven to 350
~Cream butter and sugar together 
~Mix in remaining ingredients
~Roll into balls
~Bake for 5 minutes, do not over-bake
~Remove from oven and working quickly and carefully roll into powdered sugar
~Set aside to finish cooling completely

Hidden Kiss Cookies

1 bag Hershey’s Kisses (9 oz – unwrapped)
1 cup butter softened (2 sticks)
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup mini chocolate chips
~Preheat oven to 375
~In large bowl, beat butter, sugars and vanilla until well blended.
~Add flour to butter mixture; blend until smooth.  Stir in mini chocolate chips.
~Mold scant tablespoon dough around each chocolate piece, covering completely. Shape into ball.s
~Bake 10 to 12 minutes.  Cool slightly, remove to cooling rack, cool completely.
~Optional – drizzle cookies with melted chocolate
